Betano is an active trading name on the Gambling Commission register entry for BV Gaming Limited, account 39576, which lists betano.co.uk as a white-label domain. Betano's archived British page names BV Gaming Limited as the operator, registered in Gibraltar. Outside Britain, iGaming Ontario lists Kaizen Gaming Canada Inc. for Play Betano, and the Ghana and Lagos registers we read list Betano for sports betting.

Company history

In Great Britain Betano runs on BV Gaming Limited's licence. The Commission register lists betano among the licensee's eight trading names, beside betvictor, hbingo, heart bingo, parimatch, smooth spins and talksport bet, and lists betano.co.uk among six white-label domains. Betano's archived British page, taken on 8 April 2024, says the website is operated by BV Gaming Limited, trading as Betano, a company registered in Gibraltar with number 42734. It gives a registered office at Portland House, Glacis Road, and a trading office at the World Trade Center, Bayside Road, and says the company is licensed in Great Britain under account number 39576.Source: Betano

That capture also displays a notice that a new era of betting launches soon, and a banner naming Betano as an official betting partner of EURO 2024. We did not find a page that gives the British launch date.Source: Betano

The archived betano.com page, taken on 5 October 2026, asks visitors to choose a language. The list includes English (Nigerian), English (Ontario), English (United Kingdom) and English (Ghana), beside Argentinian, Chilean, Colombian, Ecuadorian, Mexican and Peruvian Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Romanian and others. A language list shows how the site is organised, not where it is licensed.Source: Betano

All five licences on the entry are remote, which the Commission describes as the licence required for any gambling provided to players online or by other remote means. The entry lists no premises, so we found no Betano betting shop under this account.Source: Gambling Commission

Wikipedia says the Betano brand was created in 2018 to lead international expansion outside Greek-speaking markets, and is owned by Kaizen Gaming International Limited, a Greek GameTech company headquartered in Malta (Wikipedia, secondary). It says the parent was founded in Athens in 2012, OPAP later acquired a majority stake, and the parent was renamed Kaizen Gaming in 2020. We found no primary source for these dates.Source: Wikipedia

Nigeria: the Lagos State authority's register lists Betano twice, under Crystal Gaming Limited from 23 July 2025 to 22 July 2026 and under Kaizen Gaming Limited from 23 September 2026 to 22 September 2027. Payments and withdrawals

We could not read Betano's deposit, withdrawal or terms pages, so we cannot say which cards or wallets it accepts or what it charges. The archived pages hold a cookie notice, a helpline number and a language list, and no payment information.Sources: Betano; Betano

In Great Britain, licence condition 6.1.2 bars credit-card payments for online betting. Condition 17.1.1 requires a licensee to verify a customer's name, address and date of birth before the customer gambles, and says a withdrawal request must not trigger a new information requirement if the licensee could reasonably have asked earlier.Sources: Gambling Commission; Gambling Commission

Licence condition 4.1.1 requires customer funds to be held in a separate client bank account or accounts, and condition 4.2.1 requires the terms to say whether customer funds are protected if the licensee becomes insolvent. Limits and safer-gambling tools

We could not read Betano's safer-gambling pages, so we cannot say which deposit limits, reality checks or time-outs it offers. The archived British page gives the National Gambling Helpline number, 0808 8020 133.Source: Betano

Licence condition 3.3.4 requires every remote licensee to offer a time-out of 24 hours, one week or one month, or another period the customer reasonably requests, up to six weeks. Drawbacks

Betano's British licence is shared. The same entry carries BetVictor, Parimatch, Heart Bingo, Smooth Spins and talkSPORT BET as trading names, so any Commission action against BV Gaming Limited would reach several brands. The register lists betano.co.uk as a white-label domain. We did not read the terms of that arrangement, so we cannot say who controls the customer account, the payment flow or the complaints process.Source: Gambling Commission

Licence condition 12.1.1 requires a licensee to assess the money laundering and terrorist financing risks of its business, to review that assessment at least annually, and to ensure its policies and controls are implemented effectively and kept under review.Source: Gambling Commission

How it compares

Betano and BetVictor share one British licensee. The register lists betano and betvictor as active trading names of BV Gaming Limited, account 39576. BetVictor's own domains, betvictor.com and betvictor.mobi, are listed as active, while betano.co.uk is listed as a white-label domain.Sources: Gambling Commission; Gambling Commission

Outside Great Britain the two brands sit with different companies. iGaming Ontario lists Kaizen Gaming Canada Inc. for Play Betano and BV (Canada) Limited for Play BetVictor. The register entry the two brands share holds five remote licences: bingo from 31 March 2021, casino, real-event betting and virtual-event betting from 1 November 2014, and gambling software from 24 March 2015. If something goes wrong

We did not read Betano's complaints procedure. Licence condition 6.1.1 requires a licensee to let a customer take an unresolved dispute to a free alternative dispute resolution body once eight weeks have passed.Source: Gambling Commission

Licence condition 8.1.1 requires a licensee's screens to state that it is licensed and regulated by the Commission, give its account number and link to the register, and allows other licences to be shown if it is plain that the British service relies on the Commission licence. • The date Betano launched in Great Britain. The archived page of 8 April 2024 shows a launch notice only.
• Whether the Malta authorisations held by Kaizen Gaming International Limited cover Betano. The MGA register does not name brands.
• Whether the Wikipedia history is accurate. We found no primary source for the 2018 creation date, the 2012 founding of the parent, the OPAP stake or the 2020 rename.
• Betano's complaints procedure, the dispute body it uses for British customers, and the countries where it holds licences beyond those listed above.
